For centuries, European empires brutalized the African continent, massacring communities, stealing land, plundering gold, minerals, and oil, and leaving behind structural destruction. That stolen wealth built modern Western prosperity, while foreign exploitation of African resources continues to this day. African immigrants moving toward Europe are not seeking handouts; they are reclaiming the futures, wealth, and resources stripped from their ancestors. Migration is decolonization.
