How The Far-Right Is Exploiting The Christian Zedig Tragedy

July 4, 2026

On Tuesday evening, June 30, 2026, a massive crowd gathered at a public big-screen viewing event at Islands Brygge in Copenhagen to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches. During the screening of the Ivory Coast vs. Norway match, a violent clash broke out that resulted in the death of 32-year-old off-duty Swedish police officer Christian Zedig. He was stomped on the head and neck, suffering a fatal broken neck and brain hemorrhage during the physical altercation.

The right-wing media and their political puppets have immediately jumped on this tragedy to paint a picture of an innocent white Nordic victim targeted by random, unprovoked violence. They are doing so purely to fuel their anti-black and anti-immigrant propaganda. Here is their standard playbook:

  • Step 1: Wait for a tragedy to happen.
  • Step 2: Ignore the human element and immediately blame a target minority group.
  • Step 3: Use the online anger to farm clicks and distract from their own political failures.

The right-wing establishment media wants you to believe violence happens in a vacuum, that a perfectly peaceful crowd was targeted out of nowhere. They completely ignored the reports of intense, alcohol-fueled fan provocations, the flying beers, and the racial slurs flying back and forth after the winning goal. Why? Because the truth doesn’t generate clicks, but outrage does.

They turned a chaotic brawl into a weaponized race story just to push strict police-state laws and mass deportations. They scream about “law and order”, but their own toxic internet hate is what fuels this real-world violence in the first place. This isn’t politics, it’s exploitation. The right-wing establishment thrives on turning human nightmares into far-right digital campaigns.

We are drawing a line in the sand. We refuse to let the far-right rewrite real-world events to fuel their anti-black and anti-immigrant propaganda. The tragedy in Copenhagen belongs to a grieving family, not to your racist election campaigns.
